Job summary

Shaw Industries is seeking a Systems Technician to deliver hardware and software support for Plant 65 in Andalusia, AL. The role includes training users on supported systems and providing LAN/WAN administration as required.

The ideal candidate will replace and maintain PCs/servers, assist with IS/IT projects at the plant, and provide remote help to other Shaw sites. A technical degree or equivalent experience in an industrial setting is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Associate's degree with two years in an industrial plant environment also acceptable.
• Five years' experience administering a PC network environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical hardware/software support for plant systems.
• Trains users on supported hardware/software and plant systems.
• Performs LAN and WAN administration as required.
• Replaces and maintains PCs and servers as needed.
• Supports IS/IT systems and provides remote help to other sites as needed.
• Manages capital/expense projects for plant IS/IT equipment.
