Grace is seeking an HR Generalist at our Curtis Bay, MD facility to deliver comprehensive HR support and serve as a key contact for plant personnel while partnering with site leadership. The role emphasizes union labor relations, daily HR operations, and policy guidance to drive compliance and employee engagement.

Candidates should have 5+ years in HR, a bachelor’s degree, and experience in a union manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience.
• Experience in a union manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of FLSA, HIPAA, Title VII, and related laws.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-lifecycle recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives for plant personnel.
• Support employee relations through investigations and conflict resolution.
• Attend monthly union meetings and document minutes, supporting labor-management relations.
• Provide daily coaching on policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across operations.
• Partner with leadership to address performance, attendance, and change initiatives.
• Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with administrative teams for accurate personnel tracking.
• Enhance engagement by addressing issues and organizing team-building activities.
• Maintain accurate employee files with strong ownership and accountability.
