Job summary

Voltava is seeking an HR Generalist to support the Plant HR Manager with recruiting, onboarding, payroll processing, benefits administration, and employee relations at our Michigan manufacturing site.

The role covers attendance tracking, performance development, HR recordkeeping, and policy compliance. A Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing setting are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related HR experience and/or training.
• Experience in recruiting, onboarding and payroll.
• Experience supporting HR functions within a manufacturing or plant environment.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of payroll and HR information systems.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
• Understanding employment laws, regulations, company policies, and government reporting requirements.
• Ability to promote a positive team environment, company culture, safety, and open communication.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day HR operations for the plant by partnering with leaders and team members.
• Coordinate recruiting and onboarding activities and maintain accurate employee records.
• Process payroll-related information and assist with benefits administration.
• Support employee relations, safety initiatives, and policy compliance across the facility.
• Assist with HR projects, reporting, and government compliance.
