Job summary

Insteel Industries in Florida is seeking a Plant General Manager to lead manufacturing operations, uphold safety, quality, and continuous improvement, and direct a team of 35–45 employees. The role emphasizes ALARA principles and Zero Harm culture.

You will drive budgeting, collaborate with product and sales teams, and oversee engineering, maintenance, and capital projects while continuously improving processes and performance in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional training.
• Broad knowledge of business administration, industrial management, or industrial engineering.
• Working knowledge of computers and business software, including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Directs plant manufacturing from raw materials to finished products with safety and quality focus.
• Manages budgeting, expenditures, variances and cost controls.
• Partners with product or national sales manager to align production with plans.
• Oversees engineering, maintenance, capital expenditures, and process improvements.
• Ensures Zero Harm safety standards in decisions and operations.
