Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing Holdings, Inc is seeking a General Manager to lead daily plant operations in Irving, TX, driving safety, quality, and productivity in line with company goals.

You will oversee multi-shift production, mentor leaders, and coordinate with HR and customers to ensure on-time delivery and continuous improvement. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in leadership within manufacturing; ESOP benefits accompany a comprehensive rewards package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; 5+ years leading multi-shift production.
• Proven leadership experience.
• Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, inventory, and stewardship processes.
• Computer literacy including Excel and ERP/MRP.
• Ability to create accountability and lead by example.
• Union relations experience a plus; automotive industry experience preferred.
• Experience with Plex Systems ERP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and prioritize operational goals and objectives; manage projects to meet goals.
• Direct the team in solving challenges and overcoming roadblocks.
• Guide personnel toward achievement of established goals.
• Conduct annual performance appraisals; document improvement plans.
• Assess skill levels and provide training as needed.
• Provide feedback for annual appraisals of non-direct reports.
• Work with HR to recruit/hire; influence strategies to attract, develop, reward, and retain talent.
• Mentor team members; support leadership development.
• Identify future leaders and support their development.
• Interface with customers on key issues; communicate action plans.
• Establish goals and drive improvements of KPIs.
• Write and present memos, letters, emails, reports, and presentations.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
