Job summary

Conagra Brands is seeking an experienced finance professional to partner with plant leadership in Waterloo, IA. You will perform complex financial analysis, support planning, forecasting, and period close while guiding junior team members on key initiatives.

You will develop financial models, deliver actionable insights on profitability, pricing decisions, and investments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree.
• 3+ years of professional finance, accounting, or related business experience.
• Experience with profit and loss management, financial systems, and general accounting concepts.
• Proven success in fast-paced environments with changing priorities.
• Experience building partnerships with internal stakeholders across departments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience using SAP or similar enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a business partner on accounting and finance-related matters, assessing business needs, identifying risks and opportunities, and communicating financial results and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Participate in the preparation and compilation of annual operating plans and strategic plans for assigned areas of responsibility.
• Update quarterly forecasts based on changing business conditions and provide actionable, forward‑looking analysis regarding variances, risks, and opportunities.
• Lead assigned month-end and quarter-end close activities, ensuring timely completion of deliverables and resolution of unusual items and issues.
• Develop financial analyses, models, and reporting to support business initiatives, customer analysis, pricing decisions, investment evaluations, and other operational needs.
• Support projects across multiple finance disciplines, including financial planning and analysis, product development, capital investments, and in-market initiatives.
• Develop, monitor, and communicate metrics, scorecards, and financial reporting for assigned functions.
• Provide financial planning and analysis support for ad hoc requests and special projects.
• Participate in and lead finance‑wide initiatives based on business priorities.
