Job summary

Intertape Polymer Group is seeking an experienced Plant Safety & Environmental (EHS) Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety programs at our manufacturing site in Illinois. You will drive regulatory readiness, risk reduction, and a proactive safety culture, collaborating with plant leadership to improve EHS performance and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience with environmental compliance and permitting (air emissions/Title V, stormwater, hazardous waste regulations).
• Knowledge of federal, state, local environmental and occupational safety regulations.
• Experience with risk assessments, incident investigations, audits, and corrective-action processes.
• Strong communication, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to partner with plant leadership, operations teams, employees, and regulatory agencies.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental compliance programs (air, water, stormwater, hazardous waste).
• Ensure permits and regulatory requirements are met, including Title V and NPDES/stormwater.
• Prepare environmental reports, records, permits, and regulatory docs.
• Be the primary site contact for environmental and safety regulators and support inspections.
• Lead or support risk assessment processes and safety programs (PHA, JSA, MOC, LOTO).
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce environmental and operational risk.
• Develop and deliver EHS training for employees and leaders.
• Report EHS performance and drive corrective actions with leadership.
• Support corporate EHS initiatives and standardization across operations.
