Job summary

Diversified Recruitment Services, LLC is assisting a manufacturing site in Indiana to hire an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager. The role oversees all safety operations at the designated plant and supports the EHS program with focus on preventing injuries and illnesses.

The EHS Manager will lead program planning, execution, and continuous improvement, ensure compliance with OSHA/EPA regulations, and coordinate training for employees, visitors, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of environmental health and safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Independent thinking; resolve regulatory and technical issues to advise management.
• Ability to interpret OSHA and EPA regulations and related safety/environmental regulations.
• Excellent communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Ability to travel up to 20%

Responsibilities

• Leads the planning, execution, monitoring, and continuous improvement of environmental health and safety programs.
• Manage programs geared to protect the health and safety of company employees, visitors, and contractors, as well as compliance with regulations.
• Identifies and corrects potentially hazardous activities and ensures employees are informed of safety and health protocols and that EHS training is conducted as required.
• Promotes safe and professional work practices and conditions compliant with policies and regulations.
• Report any EHS incident, root cause analysis results, corrective actions, and communication to internal and external stakeholders.
• Represents the company as the EHS subject matter expert to internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepares and submits EHS reports, assessments, and records to internal stakeholders and external regulatory agencies.
• Keeps abreast of the latest EHS trends, policies, regulations, and best practices.
• Comply with environmental and food safety standards as set forth in plant policies and programs within the departmental responsibilities.
