Job summary

Cps4jobs is seeking an EHS Manager for a manufacturing facility with 300+ employees. This hands-on leader will drive EHS culture, align safety and environmental programs, and partner with all levels of the plant to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.

You will lead initiatives across OSHA/EPA compliance, risk assessment, incident investigations, and safety training while managing workers’ compensation and supporting GMP practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an EHS related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations and compliance program management.
• Proven track record delivering results with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to build networks of peers in the factory to lead without direct authority.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead implementation of EHS policies and programs for the manufacturing plant.
• Champion Safety Pillar team; drive continuous improvement and proactive safety culture.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and other regulatory requirements (Hearing Conservation, Respiratory Protection, Hazard Communication, CPR/First Aid/AED).
• Review and update internal policies to stay current with regulations and standards.
• Conduct hazard and risk assessments, ergonomics evaluations, and update procedures as needed.
• Lead incident investigations with thorough corrective action follow-through.
• Track and analyze incident reports and trends to identify root causes.
• Prepare training manuals and programs to support compliance and safety awareness.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering to improve efficiency and reduce compliance costs.
• Provide day-to-day EHS support to plant leadership and staff.
• Manage workers’ compensation claims and related reports.
• Supervise Health & Safety Supervisor on 2nd shift.
• Adhere to GMP guidelines to ensure product quality and food safety where applicable.
• Identify workplace and food safety hazards and communicate findings to supervisors.
• Document workplace safety and quality procedures with detailed records.
