Job summary

TreeHouse Foods in Dixon, IL is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Manager to lead the site’s EHS programs, drive regulatory compliance, and foster a safe, engaging workplace.

You will partner with plant leadership to implement safety initiatives, conduct audits, manage training, and maintain accurate records while supporting continuous improvement. This is a full-time, on-site role with a strong benefits package and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Business Management, or related field preferred
• 5+ years manufacturing EHS experience
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and environmental compliance
• Proven ability to lead change and influence safety culture
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Experience with safety management systems and risk assessments preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental, health, and safety initiatives to ensure regulatory and company compliance
• Oversee safety audits, investigations, and hazard assessments; implement corrective actions
• Develop and maintain plant-wide safety and environmental programs and emergency plans
• Prepare environmental compliance reports for regulatory agencies
• Lead site-wide training on health, safety, and environmental topics
• Partner with plant leadership to foster a proactive safety culture
• Support managers in safety meetings and daily operations
• Monitor safety program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement
• Maintain accurate records for incident reporting, near misses, and safety metrics
