Job summary

PTC in Bedford Park, IL is seeking an Area EHS Coordinator to oversee health, safety, and environmental programs on the plant floor. You will lead incident investigations, drive EHS improvements, and partner with engineering and maintenance to integrate safe practices into operations.

You will monitor KPIs, manage workers' comp processes, and train staff on procedures, with a focus on OSHA/EPA compliance and ISO-related recordkeeping.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field.
• 1-5 years of relevant experience; 3 years preferred.
• GSP, CHMM, CSP toward designation are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant EHS program on the floor with hands-on leadership.
• Promote safety and environmental responsibility through campaigns and engagement.
• Monitor KPIs and EHS costs; drive continuous improvement of EHS performance.
• Investigate accidents, near misses, and environmental incidents; implement corrective actions.
• Develop and enforce EHS policies; conduct training for hourly and supervisory staff.
• Coordinate OSHA/EPA compliance programs and annual drills.
