Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Control Room Operator to lead and direct plant operations under the supervision of the shift Supervisor. You will monitor all plant systems, respond to alarms, and ensure safe, efficient startup and shutdown procedures to meet generation requirements.

The role requires training other Operators, maintaining logs, and guiding teams to operate boilers, turbines, and auxiliary equipment safely. 12-hour rotating shifts including weekends and some holidays apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• ASME QRO Provisional Licensing exam must be completed within the first year of holding the position.
• Strong leadership and the ability to stay alert while sitting for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate how actions support Reworld values and safe, inclusive workplace.
• Understands and trains Operators on the power facility systems, components, and steam cycles.
• Maintains required logs and calculations; notifies supervisor of abnormal conditions.
• Provide guidance to Crane, Auxiliary, and Back Plant Operators for safe, efficient operation.
• Monitor boiler, turbine, and auxiliary equipment operations with strong working knowledge.
• Read blueprints, P&ID's, and schematic specs.
• Manage critical events and prioritize tasks during emergencies with clear directions.
• Respond to operational alarms with immediate corrective action.
• Be in the field during outages.
• Apply best practices to support safety and operational goals.
