Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Control Room Operator to lead and supervise the control room team, monitoring boiler, turbine, and auxiliary equipment during 12-hour shifts in Dickerson, MD. You will respond to alarms, perform start-up/shut-down procedures, and ensure safe, environmentally sound plant performance.

The role requires strong leadership, the ability to stay alert during long shifts, and adherence to Reworld’s safety and operational standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• ASME QRO Provisional Licensing exam within the first year of holding the position.
• Ability to walk, stand, sit, climb and lift up to 50 lbs in variable weather and shift conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct operators under the shift Supervisor to monitor plant systems.
• Respond to alarms with corrective actions and execute start-up/shut-down procedures.
• Provide guidance to Operators to maintain safe and efficient operation and to manage emergency events.
