Job summary

Reworld Waste, LLC is hiring a Control Room Operator to lead and direct facility operation under the shift Supervisor. You will monitor plant systems, respond to alarms, and execute shutdown or startup procedures to ensure safe, efficient operation.

The role requires a MA Second Class Engineer’s License, technical training, ability to read blueprints, and leadership to guide other Operators through normal and emergency procedures. Overtime, physical work, and respirator use may be involved.

Qualifications

• Valid MA Second Class Engineer’s License or higher.
• Associates Degree or equivalent technical training in power plant operations.
• Ability to read Blueprints, P&IDs, and understand schematic specs.
• Strong leadership and ability to stay alert during long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Controls operation of station systems including steam generation, condensate, feed water, turbine/generator, circulating water, service water, fuel handling, ash handling, electrical, fire protection, air pollution control and networks.
• Trains other Operators on operating principles of the power facility’s systems and cycles.
• Reads meters, gauges, recorders and annunciators to determine conditions and acts per procedures.
• Adjusts temperatures, pressures, flows and levels for plant optimization.
• Initiates periodic surveillance tests and safety checks.
• Maintains logs and notifies supervisor of abnormal conditions; monitors equipment status.
