Position Title: Placement Testing Center Assistant Temporary Pool

Campus: College Wide
Work Hours: 25-hour workweek Monday through Saturday between 8:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Actual working hours will be determined at the onset of employment. This position will require working evenings and Saturdays.
General Summary: The Placement Testing Center Assistant serves as the primary placement test proctor and oversees the testing center during posted hours of operation. This assistant performs all duties related to test administration and coordination of the testing center. In addition, the specialist will provide administrative support as needed for the enrollment services area.
Requirements
- Education and/or Experience (Required) High School Diploma; Minimum of two years previous student service or customer service experience; Ability to work with students of all abilities.
- Education and/or Experience (Preferred) Associate degree from an accredited college or university; At least one-year experience in a higher education or testing environment; Prior experience working with a diverse population.
- Communication Skills Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Computer Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet skills; Knowledge of Accuplacer or other administrative software a plus.
- Other Skills and Abilities Excellent communication and public speaking skills; Excellent interpersonal skills; Ability to work well with people; Excellent written communication skills, especially in report writing and business correspondence; Knowledge of the Community College and Higher Education system.
Duties
- Placement Testing Center Duties
- Perform day-to-day coordination of all placement testing center activities.
- Assist with coordination of the placement-testing schedule with the Director of Placement Testing.
- Communicate any changes to the testing schedule with the enrollment services staff.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of the test environment.
- Act as the primary proctor at the designated testing site.
- Maintain records, process scores, and produce reports as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Placement Testing.
- Enrollment Services Duties
- Provide administrative support and coverage at the reception area when possible.
- Support enrollment services by inputting data and student applications in the Ellucian Information System.
- Provide excellent student and customer service by answering questions from visitors and callers.
- Be responsible for understanding the new student enrollment process to direct student issues in a timely and professional manner.
Clearances Current criminal record and child abuse clearances will be required if offered the position and in order to be employed at the College. The required clearances include Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Records Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal Background Check.
