Job summary

Papa John's in Sedalia, MO is seeking a Shift Leader to supervise shifts and areas of the restaurant to ensure high quality products and customer service while supporting profitability. You will help execute company policies and ensure compliance with laws and safety practices.

You’ll manage shift coverage, monitor product quality and costs, and assist in inventory and cash handling tasks. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Serv-Safe/Local or State Food Service Certification preferred.
• Previous restaurant shift lead experience preferred.
• Successful and stable employment history.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work long hours (32+ hours generally required), scheduled or unscheduled, which will include nights, weekends, and as emergencies arise.
• Ability to successfully perform the job duties of all positions in the restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to guidelines, techniques and expectations for each station including, but not limited to, dough management, accuracy and proper portioning. Performs assigned work station duties such as making quality products, follows all product preparations procedures and maintains established product holding times.
• Contributes to achieving the Company’s product goal, meets the needs and expectations of customers, minimizes customer complaints and follows all policies and procedures.
• Exemplifies Core Values, maintains a positive attitude, works well with others and is flexible and adaptable to change.
• Ensures adequate shift coverage for restaurant. Provides feedback and corrects problems. Maintains product quality, customer service, and performance responsibilities within acceptable standards.
• Contributes to profit goals by ensuring they stay within company guidelines and target goals by accurately utilizing the FOCUS System. Executes cash management duties. Assists in inventory management.
