Jani-King International, Inc. is seeking a Territory Development Associate to drive new business in the Pittsburgh region. This full-time, field-based role involves in-person outreach, cold calls, and networking to build a robust local pipeline and set qualified appointments for the sales team.

You will represent the company at local events, engage decision-makers, and collaborate with marketing to support local efforts. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Active prospecting to generate new business within a defined territory.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills for engaging leads.
• Ability to progress conversations from first contact to qualified appointments.

Responsabilités

• High-Volume Prospecting: Turn a cold knock, a call, or a quick introduction into a real conversation, and eventually a booked meeting.
• Engage Decision-Makers: Introduce Jani-King's services, ask the right questions, and figure out fast whether there's a fit.
• Territory Management: Own your routes across Pittsburgh's core business districts, from Downtown and Oakland to the Strip District, South Side, and North Shore, plus growing markets like Robinson Township and Cranberry.
• Event Representation: Attend local business events, expos, and chamber functions to generate leads and represent Jani-King in the community.
• Marketing Support (As Needed): Occasionally assist our Marketing team with local social media content and promotional materials. This is a small part of the role, not the main focus.
• Proven ability to meet activity-based goals and performance metrics
• Strong communication skills with a professional, approachable style
• Highly motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently
• Interest in sales and business development; comfort with social media or marketing material a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; CRM experience a plus
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Reliable personal vehicle with current auto insurance coverage for daily travel
• A Path Forward: This isn't a dead-end gig, strong performers can grow into outside sales or management roles.
