• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Good communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Be the Pit Master on the sales floor with a dedication to smoked meat.
• Interact with guests in a fun, friendly manner to create an engaging environment.
• Ensure smokehouse staff provides fun, friendly, engaging service.
• Promote products with samples and suggestive selling.
• Demonstrate superior guest service at all times.
• Follow the Pit Master performance description.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational standards.
• Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety per Lowes Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to staff.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as needed.
• Maintain HACCP product information log sheets as necessary.
• Perform light meat cutting duties as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Perform PA announcements.
