Job summary

Framatome North America in Cranberry Township, PA is seeking a Mechanical or Structural Engineer with experience in pipe stress analysis, using AutoPipe and ASME B31.1/31.3 standards. You will analyze piping systems, supports, and equipment nozzle loads, while integrating seismic considerations and concrete anchor assessments.

The role emphasizes independent problem solving, adherence to regulations, and collaboration with layout teams to deliver safe, reliable nuclear plant solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in engineering analysis.
  • Experience with ASME B31.1 and B31.3 piping standards and related systems.

Responsibilities

  • Performs non-standard engineering assignments in design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing and field tasks.
  • Works autonomously with minimal supervision and delivers solutions.
  • Ensures compliance with government regulations, standards and customer requirements.
  • Selects and applies technical techniques and criteria for new tasks.
  • Develops knowledge of processes and customers; supports special projects.
  • Contributes to process improvements and maintains a safety mindset.
