Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a hydraulics engineer to support pipelines, pump stations, and tank projects across multiple offices. The role involves steady state and transient hydraulic analysis, using SPS or AFT, with training provided on advanced software.

You will contribute to multidisciplinary teams with a 40+ year Oil & Gas track record, documenting studies and presenting results to stakeholders across field sites and offices.

Qualifications

• B.S. in ABET accredited Engineering program with 3-8 years of relevant experience.
• Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE).
• Willing to attain PE licensure.
• Pre-employment drug screening required by state regulations.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Performs pipeline hydraulics (steady state & transient) analyses under general direction.
• Builds hydraulic models in SPS or AFT and tunes with historical data.
• Assist with pump sizing, control philosophy, and relief systems.
• Prepare formal reports documenting studies and findings.
• Conduct field investigations and collect data for design support.
• Seal engineering drawings and calculations as engineer of record if required.
