Job summary

Tetra Tech Inc. is seeking a hydraulics engineer to support pipelines, pump stations, and terminal/tank projects nationwide. You will perform steady state and transient hydraulic analyses using SPS or AFT, build models, and participate in project teams.

This full-time role requires FE certification and a path toward PE licensure. The position offers work locations in Englewood, CO, Billings, MT, Casper, WY, or Houston, TX and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• BS in an ABET-accredited engineering program with 3–8 years of relevant experience.
• FE exam passed; PE licensure pursued.
• Pre-employment drug screening and valid driver's license required.
• Strong understanding of ASME B31.4 & B31.3, API standards and CFR 195.

Responsibilities

• Perform pipeline hydraulics analysis (steady state & transient).
• Build hydraulic models in SPS or AFT and tune with historical data.
• Assist with pump sizing, control philosophy, and relief system sizing.
• Prepare formal studies and reports; present results in reviews.
• Conduct field data gathering to support detailed engineering.
