Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks a skilled pipefitter capable of laying out, fabricating, assembling and installing piping systems and related equipment for steam, hot water, and process systems. You will select materials, inspect the site, cut, thread, bend and weld pipes, and secure them to structures with appropriate hardware.

Responsibilities include testing for leaks, following safety rules, and supporting maintenance of refrigeration and HVAC piping as needed.

Qualifications

• Must read plans and drawings and perform shop mathematics.
• Ability to plan work and select proper tools.
• Work at heights and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fabricate, assemble and install piping systems and related equipment.
• Select pipe types/sizes and supports per specs.
• Inspect site for obstructions and plan installation sequence.
• Cut and thread pipe with appropriate tools; bend as needed.
• Mount hangers, brackets, and fixtures; secure with caulking or welded joints.
• Test piping systems for leaks and observe gauges.
