Aerotek in Moncks Corner, SC is seeking a Pipe Welder to join a dynamic team welding stainless and carbon steel piping using TIG and STICK. You will read blueprints, perform layout and fit-up, and ensure weld quality.

This contract-to-hire role offers 50+ hours weekly with overtime, local travel with per diem of $100/day, and potential for a company vehicle and comprehensive benefits. Experience with welding symbols and safety protocols is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience with stainless and carbon steel piping.
• Proficient in TIG and STICK welding techniques.
• Ability to pass weld tests.
• Strong reading of piping drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
• Familiarity with pipe welding tools, safety procedures, and layout.
• OSHA certification preferred.

Job Description

Join a dynamic team to weld stainless steel and carbon steel piping utilizing TIG (GTAW) and STICK (SMAW) processes. Utilize your expertise to read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding symbols, ensuring precise layout, fit-up, and welding of pipe systems. Conduct thorough visual inspections and quality checks on welds, and collaborate effectively with pipefitters, foremen, and project managers to meet project deadlines.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr.
