Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Traveling Pipefitter for a contract project based in Tampa, FL. The role targets candidates with experience in marine, commercial nuclear, or petro/chemical environments and with the ability to interpret ship piping drawings and fit various piping materials.

Key tasks include assembling piping, end-prep, installing hangers, reading inches and tenths, fabricating from drawings, and bending pipe.

Qualifications

• Three years or more of experience as a Pipefitter in marine, commercial nuclear, or petro/chemical industries.
• Ability to read and interpret ship piping drawings.
• Experience with carbon steel, CRES, and copper-nickel piping.

Job Title: Traveling Pipefitter ; $35/hr + $140 Per Diem project in Newport News, VA.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Pipefitter with extensive experience in marine, commercial nuclear, or petro/chemical industries. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to interpret ship piping drawings and have proficiency in fitting carbon steel, CRES, and copper nickel piping.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret ship piping drawings.
• Fit carbon steel, CRES, and copper-nickel piping.
• End-prep piping by hand or using Portsmouth Machine.
• Install pipe hangers.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Tampa, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
