Job summary

Outset is hiring its founding Customer Experience (CX) Solutions Account Executive, the first sales hire for our new CX offering. On Day 1, you'll own the discovery through the cycle, working directly with prospects to turn interest into paying customers.

You'll partner with Product and Engineering to incorporate customer feedback into the short- and long‑term roadmap and translate that roadmap into a sellable vision for clients.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in enterprise software sales roles, with 6+ years and 2+ years with CX solutions.
• Experience owning discovery, demos, pilots or POC that converted to revenue.
• Proven end-to-end deal closing including pipeline, negotiation, and close.
• Experience partnering with Product to translate customer input into roadmap priorities.
• Familiarity with Medallia and/or Qualtrics and how they connect to systems.
• Knowledge of data integrations (REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, API keys).
• Experience with MCP and connecting AI tools to external systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain tech in business terms.
• Founder’s mindset; comfortable being first in a role and building structure.

Responsibilities

• Own discovery → demo → pilot → conversion.
• Partner with AE to co-own deal strategy; or run full cycle as AE and SC.
• Define CX sales processes and metrics; create playbooks.
• Work with Product and Engineering to deliver near-term roadmap items with pilots.
• Translate roadmap into medium- and long-term vision for clients.
• Spot patterns across deals and feed them back to product and positioning.
• Build the CX sales playbook: discovery guides, demo scripts, templates, and integration references.
