Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises, Inc. is seeking friendly servers to welcome and guide guests, take orders, and ensure timely delivery of meals. You will need to write orders clearly, operate the POS, and handle payments accurately while maintaining a clean dining area.

Candidates must pass Florida Responsible Vendor and food safety certifications. The role requires a five-day work week, health benefits, a 401K, and on-site shifts with meal discounts.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and sanitation policies and procedural training.
• Support colleagues with maintaining table appearance and running food/drink.
• Know menu items and current promotions; answer guests’ questions clearly.
• Accurately take orders and enter into POS in a timely manner.
• Deliver orders to guests promptly from kitchen/bar area.
• Assess guests’ demeanor and summon a manager when needed.
• Process payments accurately and give correct change.
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, and sidework.
• Restock and keep restrooms clean and presentable.
• Standing and walking 100% of shift; able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Job description

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
• Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
• Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests
• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Five (5) Day Work Week
