Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises is seeking friendly servers to greet guests, take orders, and deliver meals with accuracy and a smiling demeanor. You will handle POS transactions, ensure timely service, and help maintain a welcoming dining area.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to stand for long periods, and clear English communication. Training on safety and vendor certification is provided where required, with benefits including paid vacation and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand/walk for entire shift.
• Ability to read handwritten checks and notes.
• A valid Florida Vendor and food safety certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take orders accurately.
• Enter orders into POS system promptly and correctly.
• Deliver food and drinks to tables in a timely manner.
• Maintain table appearance and assist teammates as needed.
• Process payments and give correct change; handle tips professionally.
• Assist with opening/closing duties and side work.
• Maintain restroom cleanliness and restocking of supplies.

Overview

At Flanigan’s, we strive to bring together warm, caring, friendly, outgoing people, who find joy in serving others. Our servers play a vital role in every meal – welcoming and guiding, taking orders and serving, and attending to details.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
• Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
• Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
