Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises, Inc. in Florida is seeking friendly servers who welcome guests, take orders, and ensure timely delivery of meals and drinks. You will write orders into the POS, handle payments, and maintain dining areas with a team-focused approach.

We train for Florida safety certifications and food safety; expect a 5-day work week with competitive benefits, including health and 401K options. Lift capability up to 50 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Complete Florida Responsible Vendor program as required.
• Complete Florida food safety certification as required.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Take guest orders accurately and enter them into the POS promptly.
• Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely manner.
• Process payments and provide correct change.
• Maintain clean tables and assist with sidework and restocking.
• Restroom cleanliness and overall restaurant cleanliness.
• Support managers and teammates as needed.

Job description

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
• Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
• Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests
• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Five (5) Day Work Week
• Paid Vacation One Week after Year One, Two Weeks after Two Years, and Three Weeks after Ten Years
