Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises is seeking friendly, outgoing servers who warmly welcome guests, take orders, and deliver meals with care. You will help ensure a smooth dining experience and attentive service.

Key duties include learning the menu and promotions, accurately entering orders into the POS, delivering courses promptly, handling payments, and assisting with opening/closing tasks while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift.
• Able to deliver plates and clear tables, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to speak, read and write English.
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes.
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training.
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed.
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly.
• Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner.
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner.
• Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager.
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner.
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework.
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests.

• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
