Odyssey Locums is recruiting an OB/GYN physician for a Somerset, KY assignment with 24hr in-house call. The role includes handling C-sections, high- and low-risk pregnancies, and fetal monitoring in a department with two operating rooms for cesarean sections.

The position requires KY license or IMLC, BC/BE, and BLS; credentialing is expected within ~60 days. Epic is the site charting system, and paid housing and travel support are offered.

Responsibilities

• Provide obstetric care during 24hr in-house call.

The Role:

• Location: Somerset, KY
• Assignment duration: ASAP - ongoing
• Shift Type: 24hr Inhouse call
• Patient encounters per shift: 8
• Cases: C-sections and emergencies; department includes 2 ORs for c-sections.
• Specialty skills: Low risk pregnancy; High risk pregnancy; FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE); OB ultrasounds (Level I/Screening and Level II/Targeted); Amniocentesis; Routine delivery (vaginal, low forceps); Decision-making for C-section; Complicated delivery (C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, VBACs); Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations; Surgical gynecology (open and laparoscopic diagnostic/minor and operative/major procedures).
• Site Charting System: Epic.
• Clean background required.
• Certification Requirements: KY License or IMLC, BC/BE, BLS
• Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days
