Job summary

Odyssey Locums is seeking a Board-eligible OB/GYN for locum assignments in Kearney, Nebraska. The role includes 24hr call coverage, inpatient/outpatient obstetric care, and fast credentialing to align with hospital needs.

Responsibilities include ED on-call for precipitous deliveries, daily rounds, and cesarean/gynecologic procedures, with Epic charting and a 268-bed regional center setting.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in OB/GYN.
• Nebraska license or IMLC eligibility.
• Residency with ACG/AOA accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Be on-call to the ED for precipitous deliveries (vaginal and C-section).
• Provide OB/GYN consults and management from pregnancy through postpartum.
• Perform daily inpatient rounds and handle obstetric cases.
• Assist with cesarean deliveries and gynecologic procedures.
• Document care using the Epic charting system.

The Role:

• Location: Kearney, NE
• Assignment duration: Oct 16 - Oct 18; Nov 14 - Nov 15; Nov 25 - Nov 30; Dec 23 - Jan 04; Feb 19 - Feb 21; April 14 - April 16
• Shift Type: 24hr Call
• Cases: Inpatient OB/GYN coverage including daily rounding, consults, management of pregnancy through postpartum, vaginal and C-section deliveries, and major/minor gynecologic surgeries
• Duties: Be on-call to the emergency department for precipitous deliveries, both vaginal and c-section. Gynecology call to the emergency department; consultation & treatment as needed
• Site Charting System: Epic
• Setting: Acute Care inpatient/outpatient hospital, 268-bed regional referral center
• Requirements: BC/BE, NE License or IMLC, ACG/AOA Accredited Residency
• Credentialing Timeframe: 60 - 90 days
