Odyssey Locums is seeking an OB/GYN for an inpatient, 24-hour call assignment in Paducah, KY. The role involves routine to complex deliveries, including C-sections and VBACs, with 100% inpatient care and EPIC charting.

The position offers top-of-market hourly pay, paid housing and travel, tail coverage, and dedicated credentialing support. Active KY license or IMLC, BC/BE, BLS, and DEA are required, with credentialing in about 90 days.

Qualifications

• Active KY License or IMLC is required.
• Board certification or eligibility in OB/GYN (BC/BE).
• BLS and DEA registrations are required.
• Credentialing through Odyssey Locums in about 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Deliver obstetric care in inpatient hospital settings.
• Provide on-call coverage during assigned shifts.
• Manage routine to complex deliveries and obstetric emergencies.
• Document patient care and orders in the EPIC charting system.

The Role:

• Location: Paducah, KY
• Assignment duration: Nov 25-29, 6-7 a month with potential of more
• Shift Type: 24-hour 7a-7a beeper call; 6-7 a month with potential of more.
• Cases: Routine delivery; Vaginal; Low forceps; Decision-making for C-section; Complicated delivery; C-section, Breech, Multiple Births, Abruptions; VBACs; Repair of 3rd-4th degree lacerations
• Site Charting System: EPIC.
• Number of Providers Needed: 1-3
• Practice Setting: Inpatient/Hospital-Based
• Patient Population: Adult
• % Outpatient vs Inpatient: 100% Inpatient
• Average # of Patients Per Day: 1-6
• Midwife Coverage: Midwives will take call and deliver own patients
• Nursery Level: II
• Delivery volume: 700-800 total deliveries annually
• Requirements: Active KY License or IMLC, BC or BE, BLS, DEA
• Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days
