Odyssey Locums seeks an Obstetrics/Gynecology physician for a 10-week assignment in Harrisonburg, VA. Inpatient 24-hour call shifts are required; a backup OBGYN will be available during coverage changes, with weekend calls as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide obstetrics/gynecology care during inpatient 24-hour call shifts.
• Perform vaginal deliveries and cesarean deliveries as needed.
• Participate in procedures such as hysteroscopy, D&C, and cesarean sections.
• Collaborate with hospital team and follow EPIC charting protocols.
• Support non-restricted 24-hour call coverage and associated shifts.

The Role:

• Location: Harrisonburg, VA
• Assignment duration: 10/06/2026 - 01/05/2027
• Shift Type: Inpatient 24-hour call shifts (9:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.)
• In House Call: Non-restricted 24-hour call required; providers must be willing to cover non-restricted 24-hour call and potential inpatient laborist/primary call shifts. A backup OBGYN will be available when primary inpatient laborist coverage changes. Weekend call may run from Friday at 9:00 a.m. through Monday at 9:00 a.m.
• Cases: Vaginal delivery; Cesarean delivery; Circumcision; Hysteroscopy; Surgery for missed abortion; Treatment of incomplete abortion; Hysterectomy; Ovarian cystectomy; D&C with or without suction; Scheduled cesarean sections and other urgent procedures.
• Site Charting System: EPIC.
