Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• AAPC Certification.
• 5 years experience in medical billing; 2 years in a leadership/management role.

Responsibilities

• Manages human resources within productivity guidelines and budget; facilitates training and development; evaluates staff performance.
• Reviews financial and operational reports to identify success and improvement; reassigns work to maintain performance; conducts audits.
• Ensures optimal revenue for physician departments through collaborative efforts with Client Services and Operations.
• Monitors charges daily to maintain revenue; tracks open charge reports and notes providers not closing notes.
• Works with Compliance to review audits and train physicians on results to improve.
• Keeps abreast of coding updates (including AAPC updates) and conducts training during onboarding.
• Develops training documentation and seeks opportunities for coding staff development.
• Researches coding issues and partners with compliance to improve charge entry processes.
• Collaborates with Epic team on new CPT codes, charge edits, and fee changes.
