Qualifications

• Two years of medical billing experience and one year with electronic billing.
• Epic experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage Epic work queues daily for accurate billing and claims follow-up.
• Ensure timely submission of claims within assigned financial classes.
• Ensure timely follow-up of all claims within assigned financial classes.
• Investigate claim denials or rejections and resolve issues.
• Enter and post payments to patient accounts from remittance advice.
• Identify appeals and prepare them for denied claims.
• Identify secondary billing and follow-ups for unpaid balances.
• Notify patients of self-pay balances and collect.
• Prepare reports and assist with bad debt initiatives.
