Job summary

ATI Physical Therapy in Austin, TX, is seeking a Physical Therapy Aide to support therapists, greet patients, and help with intake and setup. The role offers hands-on training, mentorship, and exposure to therapy practices, ideal for individuals pursuing a healthcare career.

You will assist with treatment areas, monitor progress, and help patients perform home exercises, while contributing to a collaborative team focused on patient recovery and care quality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• Must be 18+ years.
• Healthcare and/or customer service experience.
• Preferred: Healthcare-related experience (PT aide/tech, MA, hospital, chiropractic, fitness).
• Preferred: Certified Personal Trainer experience.
• Preferred: Education in Health Services, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with patients warmly both by phone and in person during the daily check-in process and throughout their appointment time.
• Promote an efficient patient intake and registration process and assist clinicians with timely scheduling.
• Effectively onboard new patients reviewing relevant paperwork, verifying benefits, and completion of medical forms.
• Support Physical Therapist by preparing and cleaning treatment areas, as well as setting up and adjusting exercise equipment.
• Monitor patient progress and provide feedback the therapy team.
• Assist patients in performing exercises and support their prescribed home exercise programs.
