North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Texas seeks a licensed physical therapist to provide skilled PT services in patients\' homes and daytime facilities for ages 0–21, multiple times per week.

The role emphasizes pediatric assessment, testing, data interpretation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to plan goals and deliver training to staff and caregivers.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensed to practice Physical Therapy in Texas.
• Experience in pediatrics required; new grads with pediatric OT internship acceptable.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0–21, 2+ times per week, per physician orders.
• Define patient impairments and select appropriate tests.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan goals and advise on PT modalities.
• Plan and modify care to meet goals of interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers and patients with training materials and in-service programs.
• May supervise Certified Physical Therapy Assistants.

Requirements

• Graduate degree from an accredited academic program in physical therapy
• License to practice physical therapy in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required (New grads must have a minimum of 6 weeks of pediatric OT experience - can include internship)
• Home health experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Must carry valid auto insurance and drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define the patients degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific physical therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with the total physical therapy program
• May provide supervision to Certified Physical Therapy Assistants
