Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care seeks a licensed physical therapist to provide pediatric therapy in home and daytime facilities for patients aged 0–21. Expect 2+ visits weekly under physician orders to deliver individualized care.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, document progress with reports, and adjust plans to meet goals. Spanish-speaking candidates are a plus in a supportive, therapist-owned environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Texas PT license to practice physical therapy.
• Experience in pediatrics required; new grads must have 6 weeks of pediatric OT experience (internships allowed).
• Home health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0–21, 2+ times per week per physician orders.
• Define patient impairments using appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to plan and evaluate patient goals and care.
• Modify care plans to achieve therapy goals and outcomes.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in-service programs; may supervise assistants.

Requirements

• Graduate degree from an accredited academic program in physical therapy
• License to practice physical therapy in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required (New grads must have a minimum of 6 weeks of pediatric OT experience - can include internship)
• Home health experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Must carry valid auto insurance and drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define the patients degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific physical therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with the total physical therapy program
• May provide supervision to Certified Physical Therapy Assistants
