Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to provide pediatric PT services in home or daytime clinic settings in Texas. The role involves evaluating motor impairments, creating care plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Experience with home health and Spanish language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• License to practice physical therapy in Texas.
• Pediatrics experience required (new grads: 6 weeks pediatric OT experience incl. internship).
• Home health experience preferred.
• Spanish bilingual a plus.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0–21, 2+ times per week per physician orders.
• Define patient impairment levels using appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan, evaluate goals, and instruct the team in PT modalities.
• Plan and modify care to meet PT goals and interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in-service programs.
• May supervise Certified Physical Therapy Assistants.

• License to practice physical therapy in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required (New grads must have a minimum of 6 weeks of pediatric OT experience - can include internship)
• Home health experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Must carry valid auto insurance and drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define the patients degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific physical therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with the total physical therapy program
• May provide supervision to Certified Physical Therapy Assistants
