Job summary

NorthTexas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver pediatric physical therapy in home or daytime clinic settings across Texas. The role involves evaluating young patients from birth to 21, planning individualized therapy programs, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include diagnosing impairment levels, writing reports, guiding caregivers, and educating staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensed to practice physical therapy in Texas.
• Pediatrics experience required (new grads: 6 weeks pediatric OT experience).
• Home health experience preferred.
• Spanish bilingual a plus.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0–21, 2+ times per week.
• Determine patient impairments using appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret data and prepare diagnostic reports.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan goals and educate staff.
• Modify care plans to meet therapy goals and interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients through training materials and in-service sessions.
• May supervise Certified Physical Therapy Assistants.

Requirements

• Graduate degree from an accredited academic program in physical therapy
• License to practice physical therapy in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required (New grads must have a minimum of 6 weeks of pediatric OT experience - can include internship)
• Home health experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Must carry valid auto insurance and drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define the patients degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific physical therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with the total physical therapy program
• May provide supervision to Certified Physical Therapy Assistants
