Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Texas is seeking a licensed physical therapist to provide pediatric home health services for patients aged 0–21, with 2 or more visits weekly according to physician orders.

You will define impairment levels, interpret diagnostic data, prepare reports, and work with a multidisciplinary team to set goals and guide therapy interventions.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• Texas license to practice physical therapy.
• Pediatrics experience required; new grads must have min 6 weeks pediatric OT experience.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years old, 2+ visits per week, per physician orders.
• Define the patient’s degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment(s) by selecting and administering testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan and evaluate goals and advise on therapy modalities and interventions.
• Plan for and modify care to meet therapy goals and interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients through training materials and in-service programs; may supervise CPTAs.

Requirements

• License to practice physical therapy in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required (New grads must have a minimum of 6 weeks of pediatric OT experience - can include internship)

• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with the total physical therapy program
• May provide supervision to Certified Physical Therapy Assistants
