Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a Pediatric Physical Therapist to deliver skilled PT services in-home or at a daytime facility for patients aged 0–21, multiple times weekly per physician orders. You will assess impairment levels, interpret diagnostic data, and contribute to multidisciplinary team goals.

We value pediatric experience, Texas licensure, and the ability to educate families and staff. Bilingual Spanish is a plus; valid auto insurance and driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree from an accredited program in physical therapy.
• Current license to practice physical therapy in Texas.
• Experience in pediatrics required; new grads require at least 6 weeks of pediatric OT exposure (internship ok).
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy in patients 0–21 years old in home or daytime facility, 2+ visits per week as ordered.
• Define degree and type of impairment using appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret data and write diagnostic reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to set goals and advise on PT modalities.
• Plan and modify care to meet PT goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients; deliver training and resources.
• May supervise Certified Physical Therapy Assistants.

• License to practice physical therapy in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required (New grads must have a minimum of 6 weeks of pediatric OT experience - can include internship)

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define the patients degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific physical therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with the total physical therapy program
• May provide supervision to Certified Physical Therapy Assistants
