Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Little Elm, Texas, is seeking a pediatric physical therapist to provide home-based therapy and daytime clinic sessions for patients aged 0–21. You’ll work two or more times weekly under physician orders, evaluating impairments and selecting optimal testing tools.

Join a therapist-owned practice offering mentoring, career support, and a collaborative team environment. Texas licensure and a valid driver's license are required; Spanish language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree from an accredited academic program in physical therapy.
• Texas license to practice physical therapy.
• Experience in pediatrics required; new grads may have 6 weeks pediatric OT experience.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility for ages 0–21, 2+ times weekly as ordered.
• Define degree and type of impairment using appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan goals and advise on PT modalities.
• Plan for and modify care to meet therapy goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients via training materials and in-service programs.
• May supervise Certified Physical Therapy Assistants.

• Experience in pediatrics required (New grads must have a minimum of 6 weeks of pediatric OT experience - can include internship)

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define the patients degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific physical therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with the total physical therapy program
• May provide supervision to Certified Physical Therapy Assistants
