Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care seeks a licensed physical therapist to provide pediatric services in patients' homes and daytime facilities, ages 0–21, 2+ visits per week as ordered by physicians.

You will develop individualized care plans, interpret diagnostic data, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to advance each child’s growth. TX license required; pediatric experience preferred; bilingual a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• License to practice physical therapy in the state of Texas.
• Pediatrics experience required; new grads must have a minimum of 6 weeks of pediatric OT experience (can include internship).
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders.
• Define the patients degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific physical therapy modalities and interventions.
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with the total physical therapy program.
• May provide supervision to Certified Physical Therapy Assistants.
