Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is a therapist-owned provider delivering pediatric physical therapy in patients' homes or daytime facilities. The role focuses on creating individualized care plans to help children 0–21 reach their highest potential, with mentoring and career support for clinicians.

Candidates must have a graduate degree in physical therapy, Texas licensure, and pediatric experience; home health preferred.

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree from an accredited academic program in physical therapy.
  • License to practice physical therapy in the state of Texas.
  • Experience in pediatrics required (New grads must have a minimum of 6 weeks of pediatric OT experience - can include internship).
  • Home health experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
  • Must carry valid auto insurance and drivers license.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders.
  • Define the patients degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments.
  • Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
  • In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific physical therapy modalities and interventions.
  • Plan for and modify care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions.
  • Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with the total physical therapy program.
  • May provide supervision to Certified Physical Therapy Assistants.
