Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide pediatric in-home and daytime facility services for patients aged 0–21, with 2+ visits weekly as ordered by physicians.

You will assess motor impairments, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, document diagnoses, and educate staff and caregivers. A Texas PT license, pediatric experience, and a willingness to drive are required; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree from an accredited PT program.
• Texas PT license.
• Pediatrics experience required (new grads must have 6 weeks pediatric OT experience).
• Home health experience preferred.
• Spanish bilingual a plus.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy in patients' homes or daytime facilities for ages 0–21, 2+ visits/week as ordered.
• Define degree and type of impairment using appropriate tests.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to plan goals and instruct team in PT modalities.
• Modify care plans to meet therapy goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in-service programs.
• May supervise Certified Physical Therapy Assistants.

• License to practice physical therapy in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required (New grads must have a minimum of 6 weeks of pediatric OT experience - can include internship)
• Home health experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Must carry valid auto insurance and drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define the patients degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific physical therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with the total physical therapy program
• May provide supervision to Certified Physical Therapy Assistants
