Job summary

Driftwood Healthcare Center-Santa Cruz is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to evaluate, plan, and administer treatments for residents with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.

The role requires a PT degree and a California license; new graduates are welcome and a per diem/on-call schedule plus a sign-on bonus may be available.

Qualifications

• PT degree from an accredited program (BS/MS/DPT).
• 1 year clinical experience preferred; new grads welcomed.
• Current California PT license to practice.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and plan treatment for neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Administer and interpret tests for strength, range of motion, and respiration.
• Provide direct resident treatment per established plan of care.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records.
• Conduct home assessments to ensure safe discharge of residents.
• Complete required forms and documents per policy and state/federal regulations.

Physical Therapist (PT) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments simulated or actual, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist (PT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed!
• Current license to practice Physical Therapy issued by the state of California.
