Job summary

Monterey Palms Healthcare Center in California is hiring a Physical Therapist (PT) to join our family-like team. You will evaluate and treat residents, design plans of care, and support patients through neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.

We offer a competitive salary of $104,000 to $124,000 per year plus per diem/on-call duties, a sign-on bonus, and benefits including PTO and referral bonuses. New graduates welcome; CA license required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• Current California license to practice Physical Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular/musculoskeletal issues.
• Administers and interprets tests for muscle strength, coordination, ROM, respiration and circulation.
• Provides direct resident treatment per established care plans.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments to ensure safe discharge environments.
• Completes required forms and documents per company policy and regulations.

Physical Therapist (PT) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments simulated or actual, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist (PT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed!
• Current license to practice Physical Therapy issued by the state of California.
