Job summary

Driftwood Healthcare Center-Santa Cruz is hiring a Physical Therapist (PT) to evaluate and treat residents with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal concerns. The role includes planning and administering therapies, documenting progress, and coordinating care under a state-approved plan.

The position offers a salary range of $99,840 to $124,800 per year, with a sign-on bonus available. A California PT license is required, and new graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• California PT license currently active.
• Clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan and administer treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal problems.
• Administer and interpret tests and measurements for muscle strength, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provide direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records.
• Conduct home assessments to ensure discharge to a safe environment.
• Complete required forms and documents in accordance with policy and regulations.

Education

Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy

1 year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcomed

Current California PT license

Physical Therapist (PT) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.

• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care..
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments simulated or actual, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist (PT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed!
• Current license to practice Physical Therapy issued by the state of California.
