Job summary

Sentara Health in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs that improve mobility, relieve pain, and strengthen patient outcomes. You will supervise care and educate patients and families. Minimum education includes a Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy; Master’s preferred; Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

A current Physical Therapy license is required. Weekend Days shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Physical Therapy license and be eligible to practice.
• Provide education to patients and families.
• Coordinate care with internal and external team members to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop/plans of care.
• Organize rehabilitative programs and supervise team members.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans and exercises.
• Ensure efficient daily operations and follow department policies.

Overview

Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs that improve functional mobility, relieve pain, and improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury. Provides age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers. Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.

Education

• Bachelors Physical Therapy (Required)
• Masters in Physical Therapy Degree (Preferred)
• Doctorate in Physical Therapy

Certification/Licensure

• Physical Therapy License (Required)

Experience

• Performs modalities/therapeutic interventions in accordance with accepted standards of care and department policies and procedures.
• Provides effective instruction to the patient and family through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training. Initiate, develop, and maintain collaborative interactions with internal and external team members, patients, and family members to improve patient outcomes.
• Productive and efficient in daily operations.
• Selects and performs the appropriate assessment procedures.
• Establishes and updates formal plan of care to address individual patient needs.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $103,376.00 - $149,115.20 annually.Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
